Normally, when Jim Willcox, KM, or Ted Middendorf, KM, drop by their local grocery stores, it is to pick up a carton of milk or a dozen eggs. But on a recent trip, they shopped not for themselves and their families, but rather for the residents of the Shalom House in urban Kansas City, Kansas.

VOLUNTEER PROJECTS

John Massman, John McMeel, Robert Liepold, and Richard Miller are all former members of the Federal Association Board of Directors. Currently Tom Weiford is serving a term on the Board. Chaplains include the Most Rev. Raymond J. Boland (Bishop Emeritus of Kansas City-St. Joseph) and Most Rev. James P. Keleher (Archbishop Emeritus of Kansas City in Kansas).

The Kansas City group was instrumental in the establishment of the Duchesne Clinic in Kansas City, Kansas. This Clinic serves thousands of patients each year and has been supported by the Federal Association’s Clinic Program. Christmas in October, which annually rehabs over 400 houses with 3,000 volunteers, was initiated in Kansas City by John McMeel and Richard Miller

2021 Our Lady of Good Help Pilgrimage

All Members of the Federal Association and their families and friends are invited. Special Pilgrims (your friends and relatives who are sick, suffering, and aged) are especially invited to attend with you. Pilgrim uniform information will be available for all participants including children after registration is completed. Registration Fees: $450 Adult (18 and older) $250 Children (3-17) Children 2 and under are free. Registration fee includes meals, bus transportation in Green Bay and other pilgrimage expenses. Transportation to/from Green Bay is the responsibility of each pilgrim. Special hotel rates are available and hotel information will be made available after registration is completed. 2021 Investiture Weekend

Please save the date for the 2021 Annual Investiture Weekend of the Federal Association. Events will be held on Friday, October 15th and Saturday, October 16th in Washington, DC. The Investiture Mass will be celebrated at St. Matthew's Cathedral on Saturday, October 16th at 9:45 AM. The Annual Gala will take place at the Library of Congress, with the Cocktail Reception beginning at 7:00 PM on Saturday, October 16th. Further information regarding events and registration options will be forthcoming in 2021. The Kansas City area includes the Greater Kansas City in Missouri and Kansas. Georgia and Jim Lynch are the current Regional Hospitallers for the area, taking over for John Massman who held the position for many years.
