Solidarity School is a private Catholic pre-school, operated as part of a broader outreach effort to the local Latino community called Solidarity Mission Village, which also houses Centro Católico del Espíritu Santo– the Hispanic Outreach Mission of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The Mission provides religious, educational, social, and medical assistance to the Hispanic community in northwest Atlanta. In 2009, in cooperating with St. Joseph’s Hospital, the Order was instrumental in establishing a medical clinic for children in the Village. The intention is to expand those medical services to adults in the near future. Members and members of the Auxiliary participate in several group functions at the Village during the year most notably the Christmas pageant and “graduation” as well as general maintenance for the overall facility. Members are also asked to perform individual volunteer service at the Mission or School. In addition, along with members of the Auxiliary, members attend Mass, followed by a business meeting and dinner approximately every 6 weeks throughout the year.
